Welcome to π in the Sci

Hunter π in the Sci is a diverse community based, not for profit group focused on Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), history, issues, current learning and expertise.

We are located in the Local Government Area of Maitland, NSW.

Our membership is drawn from across the Hunter Valley and the northern suburbs of Sydney

Our speakers are similarly drawn from the academic expertise within the  Newcastle University, industrial leaders and members.

School STEM Scholarships

UoN 3 minute thesis

Hunter π in the Sci raise funds from members to support school students with a scholarship which consists of 10 x 1.0 hr tutorial sessions with an appropriately qualified tutor in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) topic tailored to the individual students needs.
We generally provide two scholarships per year to students on a one on one basis
